The Casa de Segunda, also known as Luz–Katigbak House, is a heritage house museum located along Rizal Street, Lipa City, Batangas. It was built during the 1860s and owned by Don Manuel Mitra de San Miguel-Luz and Doña Segunda Solis Katigbak, Dr. José Rizal's first love.
Casa de Segunda stands as a testament to the rich heritage of the Philippines and the enduring connection between two prominent figures in its history. It offers a unique opportunity for visitors to explore the past and learn more about the intertwined stories of Rizal and Segunda, as well as the architectural splendor of the Spanish colonial period.
A classic bahay na bato known as Casa de Segunda was constructed in Lipa, Batangas, Philippines, around the year 1880. In the late 19th century, the bahay na bato was regarded as the residence of the Filipino aristocracy. It demonstrated the blending of native and colonial architecture.
